SHRM turned to INVNT to reimagine the mainstage experience for its flagship annual conference, SHRM25, with the goal of creating an unforgettable opening that would energize 20,000 attendees and set a new bar for immersive storytelling.
Strategy
INVNT designed a cinematic main stage experience anchored by “The Box,” an LED cube that played with scale, perspective, and dimensional motion. We opened the event with an AI-generated video created by INVNT AI, which received has since become a cornerstone of SHRM’s national media campaign, with INVNT strategizing and executing, as Media Agency of Record. Star power lit up the stage, with appearances from SHRM CEO Johnny C. Taylor Jr., President Joe Biden, Regina Belle, Jason Sudeikis, Jenna Fischer, and Angela Kinsey, along with a surprise visit from Lincoln the Eagle. Our team also supported production for 330 streamed breakout sessions, ensuring cohesion and consistency across the full conference experience.

15,000 attendees filled the mainstage arena for a kickoff moment that became the talk of the conference. With INVNT at the creative and production helm, SHRM25 not only raised the bar—it redefined it, proving that even the largest industry shows can still surprise, inspire, and connect.
