CHALLENGE
At COP28, one of the most pivotal climate change conferences globally, INVNT was entrusted with the colossal task of conceptualizing, fabricating, and executing a series of activations within the Blue Zone and Green Zone at Expo City Dubai, catering to 280,000 visitors. The assignment was not only to accommodate an audience of 70,000 daily attendees but also facilitate a dialogue about environmental sustainability through interactive and educational experiences.
STRATEGY
The mission was to innovate beyond traditional event experiences into a cohesive narrative that would resonate with the diverse audience of COP28. INVNT aimed to create a sequence of activations that would educate, engage, and inspire action among attendees, aligning with the conference’s overarching message to “UNITE. ACT. DELIVER.”
For the Green Zone, the “Tree of Life” stood as a testament to INVNT’s creativity—a world-first, AI-powered digital art installation. Further enriching the experiential tapestry, a CNN-powered exhibition delved into the climate crisis’s impacts on gender inequality. This immersive experience was designed to be both educational and evocative, featuring powerful storytelling through films and images captured by seven female photojournalists from the Global South. Lastly, in the Blue Zone for United Nations “Energy for Health” activation, a collaborative effort between the World Health Organization, Selco Foundation, and UNICEF, highlighted the critical role of solar energy in healthcare.
