American Express
Business Leaders Forum Hong Kong

CHALLENGE
American Express, in collaboration with INVNT, was responsible for orchestrating two remarkable events: the Hong Kong Business Leader’s Forum and the Tokyo Business Leader’s Forum. Both were aimed at fostering connections through thought leadership, as well as meaningful engagement with its esteemed corporate clients and prospects in Asia.
STRATEGY
In Tokyo, Japan, the Tokyo Business Leaders Forum was held amidst the serene and timeless beauty of Happo-en Gardens. This event served as a platform for thought leadership and networking, bringing together American Express’ most valued global corporate clients and prospects in Japan. Managed end-to-end by INVNT, the event featured a special keynote address by renowned baseball coach Hiroshi Sasaki, who drew parallels between the art of bonsai and leadership philosophy. Sasaki’s insights, resonant with the centuries-old bonsai trees at Happo-en, emphasized discipline, precision, and dedication. The event design carefully integrated the essence of the venue, creating an ambiance of growth and harmony. Through meticulous planning, creative design, and thoughtful execution, INVNT delivered an immersive and impactful event that left a lasting impression on attendees, reinforcing American Express’ commitment to excellence and innovation in client engagement.
Meanwhile, the Hong Kong Business Leaders Forum took place on Hong Kong Island, where American Express aimed to reconnect with its largest and most strategic global customers. INVNT was tasked with creating a leadership peer network and fostering deeper relationships while providing a memorable and entertaining experience. The event incorporated key themes of local culture and sustainability, with inspiration drawn from influential local philanthropist Sacha Yasumoto’s elite exhibitions. The venue, the Old Victoria Barracks, steeped in history, cultural significance, and natural beauty, served as the perfect backdrop for the event, celebrating the past, present, and future. From personalized creative introductions to engaging discussions led by global trade and international policy experts, the event created an intimate and inspiring brand experience that connected attendees with American Express in a unique way.
