Ignite Live '24

CHALLENGE

Amazon sought to elevate its Ignite Live conference by introducing a fresh, innovative approach. The key objectives were to develop a new brand and event visual identity, expand the expo size within venue constraints, and deliver a seamless, engaging experience that maintained high levels of attendance and satisfaction.  

STRATEGY

INVNT reimagined Amazon’s original logo into a 3D prism effect, which became the centerpiece for all event design elements. The logo was featured in the visual and scenic designs, including the LED screen curves in the keynote room and stage backdrops in breakout sessions. A prism lighting effect unified the expo space and evening events. Custom scenic pieces reflected the new brand identity, providing a cohesive look throughout the conference.  

One of the most challenging moments occurred on the day of the Finale Party, originally scheduled to be held outdoors at Marquee Nightclub. Due to wildfire smoke from California, the event had to be relocated indoors at the last minute to comply with Amazon’s Health and Safety standards. In just six hours, INVNT orchestrated a complex logistical pivot by moving all activations, band performances, and food and beverages back to the Aria. They collaborated with chefs from two different properties, successfully convincing a union chef and a non-union chef to work together as Marquee transported their planned food and beverage to the Aria. This seamless cross-venue collaboration made the seemingly impossible possible.

IMPACT

INVNT’s creative and logistical expertise yielded impressive year-over-year results for Amazon Ignite Live North America. Attendance increased significantly by nearly 1,500, totaling 4,000 attendees compared to the previous year. The conversion rate from registration to live attendance reached an outstanding 96%, up from 75% in 2023, ensuring maximum engagement. Despite smaller ballroom space, the expo nearly doubled in size, spanning across two ballrooms and featuring 85 exhibitors, a significant increase from 45 in 2023, reflecting strong demand from companies eager to participate.  

The Finale Party, which could have been a significant issue, ended up being one of the highlights of the event. Attendees praised the seamless transition in post-event surveys, resulting in higher satisfaction scores (CSAT) than the 2023 event. Amazon Ignite Live North America was a resounding success, and the partnership between INVNT and Amazon continues to push the boundaries of live event experiences.
